May!

I've been busy building my inventory for a craft fair that I want to get into in July. I still need to set up a display and take a picture, but I'm working on that. I haven't listed in etsy for awhile because of this, but I will list soon. :)

I've been up to my neck in bows! I still have loads more to make! I hope to get the bows out of the way by the end of May and then in June and July work on clippies, headbands, flower clips and cover button creations. I also just got my new sewing machine and I'm excited to start making dresses and cute outfits for my daughter! If they come out good, maybe I'll include some in the craft fair. My first sewing project that I'm going to squeeze in is a pillowcase dress using Robert Kaufman's cupcake fabric and Michael Miller's damask fabric. Her 2nd birthday is coming up and hopefully it comes out good enough for her to wear! :)

Spring showers

It's been a while since I posted! Last weekend we took a trip to the Kennedy Space Center and Walt Disney World. We had loads of fun!



I just listed some new items in my shop. I listed some new mini twist boutique bows and dragonfly ribbon sculptures.






I received some felt the other day and I'm going to play with those and see what I can come up with. Something is telling me I'm going to be wanting a cuttlebug!

I've been working on some cute elastic headbands as well. Here's one I just listed this week. I found a vintage doily table runner that I had bought at a yard sale. I had it stashed away for years, and came across it last week.

I smell spring

I know, spring doesn't officially start till a few months later...

We had some out of town friends visit last week from SoCal. We had so much fun showing them around South Florida and spending time with them. We took them to the usual touristy places like Bayside and South Beach. We showed them Versace's house and where he got shot! I know, morbid, but you gotta see it if you go to South Beach! We also went to the Everglades and rode an airboat. Even though it's just a river of grass, it's just so natural and fresh out there and that what makes it so beautiful! Of course we made sure they at least had some tostadas, pastalitos, cafe con leche and a Cuban sandwich! Even there little 15 month old had a "batido de mamey"! I miss them and my SoCal friends so much!

So this week, I've been catching up and working on some things. Getting back into the groove of things!

Finally Friday! Let's see, tonight we're going to celebrate my uncle-in-law's b-day. Tomorrow, we're going to be cleaning cleaning cleaning! I'm excited to have some friends visiting from SoCal next week. Sunday, I'm going to make some dip for the Super Bowl. I found some great recipes on a forum and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! I think I'm more excited about the fatty yummy food I get to eat.

Well, January is almost done! Spring is getting closer, although it feels like summer down here. I just posted some new flower accessories in my shop. They will make special baby shower and birthday gifts!


Also added a bow headband set for Mardi Gras fun!

Its been warming up down here the last few days. I'm getting in the mood to work on some flowers. I've been lucky to have some of my items featured in two blogs. This week I'm going to start featuring some of my favorite shops and I'll start with the two shops who featured me in their blog.
